Salem is 56 miles from the Oregon Coast
in the heart of the Willamette
Valley. A two-and-one-half hour trip East takes you to the Cascade Mountains Portland is just up the highway about 47 miles North and Eugene is about an hour and a half drive South.
The area is full of outdoor activities - kayaking, hiking, golf, tennis, fishing, etc. The College has a Hood-to-Coast relay team that competes annually in the Nike Hood-to-Coast run.
